What is Tezga?

Tezga - eKasa is an online fiscal cash register: ESIR software approved by the Tax Administration of the Republic of Serbia (IB 1597). It issues fiscal receipts through V-PFR, the Tax Administration's virtual processor, so it works on a phone, tablet or computer without buying a fiscal device. The same account also handles e-invoices (SEF), reports for your accountant, bank statements, a web shop connector and an API.

In Serbia, retail sales need a fiscal receipt unless the activity is exempt, and a business that sells in its own premises also needs a local processor (L-PFR) there. New to the rules? Read Fiscalization in Serbia, our guide in plain English.

Questions from people new to Serbia

This is not tax advice. Your accountant gives the final answer for your business.

Do I need a fiscal cash register in Serbia?

Yes, if you sell at retail: goods or services to private individuals, or any sale in a retail outlet, even to a company. Each such sale needs a fiscal receipt issued through an electronic fiscal device, whether the customer pays in cash, by card or by bank transfer. This applies to companies and to sole traders, including flat-rate sole traders (paušalci). Some activities are exempt under a government regulation, so check your activity code with your accountant.

I only invoice companies, some of them abroad. Do I need one?

Not for that turnover. Invoicing only companies and sole traders, without a retail outlet, is not retail, so no fiscal receipt is issued. Invoices to Serbian companies and to the public sector go as e-invoices through SEF, the state e-invoicing system. Foreign companies are not registered on SEF, so you send them invoices outside the system, as before. As soon as you charge a private individual, you issue a fiscal receipt for that sale, unless your activity is exempt.

Can I use Tezga from my phone?

Yes. Tezga runs in the browser on Android phones, iPhones, tablets and computers, and you can add it to your phone's home screen so it opens like an app. The same account works on several devices at the same time. Fiscal receipts through V-PFR need an internet connection; mobile data on the phone is enough.

I am opening a shop or a restaurant. Is an online cash register enough?

Not on its own. Under the Law on Fiscalization (Article 6, paragraph 4), a business that uses V-PFR must also have at least one device with its own processor (L-PFR) in each business premises, unless it sells at retail exclusively online. Tezga works with an L-PFR from any supplier approved by the Tax Administration, together with the smart card for those premises, so you keep the same software. Tezga does not sell its own L-PFR. Check your case with your accountant.

What about e-invoices (SEF)?

SEF (Sistem elektronskih faktura) is the Serbian state system for electronic invoices to companies and the public sector. In Tezga, the Biznis plan sends outgoing and receives incoming e-invoices through SEF, tracks their status and works with public-sector buyers. You connect it with your own SEF API key in the settings. The lower plans are for fiscal receipts without SEF.

Is the app in English?

No. The Tezga app and the setup guide are in Serbian (Latin script). Support is by email at podrska@tezgafiskal.com.

Is Tezga approved by the Tax Administration?

Yes. Tezga - eKasa is an approved ESIR (electronic system for issuing receipts), model 1.1, with the unique identification number IB 1597, under decision no. 000-092-00-00123/2026-0000 of the Tax Administration of the Republic of Serbia, dated 3 July 2026. Receipts are fiscalized directly with the Tax Administration, without an intermediary.

How much does it cost, and is there a free trial?

From 990 RSD a month. The plans are Tezga 990, Start 1,190, Posao 1,690 and Biznis 2,390 RSD a month, paid in advance for 3, 6 or 12 months. Up to 3,000 fiscal receipts a month are included; above that, each receipt costs 1 dinar, so sales never stop. For fairs and seasonal sales there is the Sezonski (seasonal) plan: 5,100 RSD, paid once, for 30 days. You pay by bank transfer or by scanning the IPS QR code in your bank's app. There is no free trial: access opens once your payment is recorded. You can ask for a 48-hour demo account with sample data.
